So when it's said that (for example) blue is the new black, that blue isn't a colour?...

Thank you, Kaz :) I am counting the days til I get it back!

The bike is being lowered by 50mm, by having the lower fork springs replaced and the same with the shock springs. It involves a bit of work, hence the delay. It isnt cheap either, but it is worth every cent imho.

It sux that being short means we have to pay for mods just so we can be on equal footing (pardon the pun) with others, but I've never let height stop me from doing something I love :)

50mm!!!! OMFG that's amazing!

How will you go for clearance though, between the lower fairing and the ground? (Always wondered about that)....

I've scraped the ZZR over a few speedbumps already, have to be very careful of those.

Yep, good point! Nick at Teknik suggested that I get the lower fairing replaced with race glass, in the event that I do have a scrape, it will be easier/cheaper to fix.

If anyone has contacts for cheap race glass, let me know :P

Congrats Colette your going to need all the help you can get turning it around on the sides of hills and things and it should make rides in the hills a real buzz after the zzr.

I was sort of waiting for the photo of the finished product before i posted but it shouldn't be far off now.

Just watch out for pinching the front brake on tricky u turn manouvers i know thats a bummer and get the oggies fitted before riding it anywhere.

Do i sound like a nana........ GO GIRL. :D

Need pics.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

custom race glass bottom fairing perhaps? one that's brought up as far north as it can physically fit mebbe?

but yeah when i spoke to you on the phone last night colette i meant to ask htf the thing is going to go over speedbumps.

You might have to do the fully shick lowered bling r x thing of creeping over at 2km/h max

Thanks Bob, yep oggies are already on (You can see them in pics already posted) and will post pics when I collect the bike on Friday.

Mike, will have to see what it's like before I make any decisions, but I am anticipating lower fairing clearance will be poor, so I might have to do the "fully sik mate" thing after all
