Nullarbor Crossing

Post by gray_rm »

I haven't done anything really dumb for a while - so I thought I'd plan a trip for 2007.

Has anyone ridden across from Adelaide to Perth, across the Nullarbor?
I'm thinking it's like ticking off "Dumb item #41" from my list.

I would plan for a group of, say, 4-7 riders, and maybe a support car if that isn't too wussy.

Any takers?

I looked into doing it last time I was in Adelaide- until I realised it is 2800km from Adelaide to Perth! I had covered 2000km Toowoomba to Adelaide so changed my mind. Will do it one day though! :)
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

Hell yeah! If I can do 1000km in one day (via the Hume) I reckon I can do 2,800km in 3-4 days!
Neka- I think that's a plan - warm up the hookers!

what sort of pace are you planning? There's a 1973 kombi that might be itching for another run by then, and a CBR600 that already has too many Ks on the clock to matter. Problem is the Kombi doesn't go very fast!

mate..u heard the story abt a hare and a tortoise??

i think the hair got mistake for a rabbit & eaten in a stew...and the tortoise STILL isnt there yet, but they live to 150 anyway...ummm

yea id say the Kombi will get more than 200km between stops..and it might make an awesome support/bag carrying vehicle.... does it have a fridge??
