ZX10R Ventura Rack

Post by andrew.k »

Anyone know how to fit a Ventura rack to a ZX10R?
You see I sold my ZX7 & bought a 10 that has a fender eliminator fitted.
I don't have the original rear guard & was wondering if it was possible to install the rack (which according to the shitty picture on the Ventura site, bolts to the guard) attaching only to the number plate bracket?
Alternately, does anyone have a rear guard for sale?

It depends on how your fender eliminator is attached and where it goes. The ventura rack uses a bracket that replaces the two bolts at the back of the rear guard. They extend the bolts below the indicators then attach to a cross-piece that you can then attach the two rails to.
If the fender eliminator or your indicators are in the wrong spot then it won't attach real well.
Dodgy camera phone pics on the way that may help...
