Aussie Kawis at P.I.

The TKA boys didn't have a good time at P.I.
In the supers, Shannon Johnson was beaten by Wayne Maxwell on the privateer Kawasaki and Josh had a pretty average day.

It was really good of Jamie Stauffer to come over on Friday and spend quite a bit of time chatting to us. What a great bloke and even though he rides a Yamaha, I'll still support him... he is winning both classes too so that makes it ok.. ..
Its a pity neither of the Kawasaki boys came over to say hello to the biggest group of supporters at P.I.
It seems that Kawasaki wouldn't let them as they wanted them to stay in the corporate tent. Which I also heard was a waste as most of the ppl in there had no idea who they were...
I did catch up with Josh on Sunday afternoon and he apologised for not dropping in.
On another note Chris Seatons Dad, Paul, came over top see what all the green was about and a few of us had a chat to him. Chris also came over on Sunday to say hello. They now have a KSRC shirt, so lets hope we see that around the pits and hopefully on a podium.
For those that don't know Chris is a privateer in the Supersports and doing quite well on the Kawi..

and he uses bridgestones as opposed to the more favoured dungplops or michelins (in supersport).

i think that may have even been noted in the commantry.

great ride from mad max (wayne maxwell) and shannon is riding as hard as can be expected, there are reasons why the bike is not winning races -but lets just say have a look where the other michelin boys are in superbike..........its a dungplop and pirelli benefit.

i spoke to them on friday and saturday and they fully intended to come over sunday then

If you ask the Pirelli/Michelin/Dunnie sponsored riders (totally off the record) they all rate the 002 front as the best front tyre currently available. (I know of a front runner last year, who chucked a 002 on the front with his sponsored tyre on the rear) The rears are not quite as good as the others, but not far off.

Chris Seaton is a nice bloke too, as well as being a handy rider. He is just sooooo tall though! It's always going to be a disadvantage for him. More weight, more wind resistance, so all physical things considered, I reckon he does a top job out there!

One of his mechanics is a ripper bloke too, who just quietly, knows how to fettle a donk too!

I knew who they were and I didnt see them very often. Josh was there a bit longer than Shanon but I think most people came to see the GP boys. They were probably there when I wasnt.
