I have had a double bubble that was great at the track but (literally) a pain in the neck on the road and it currently has a lower screen (race glass) which was worse on the track (than standard) but better on the road as my whole helmet copped the wind instead of visor level (and neck pain), so I am gonna say IF you can get a ride on a bike with both and just see or maybe someone can give you a lend of one.
For someone my height, my licence says 175cm, prob standard was best

I was reading the initial post thinking......mmmm I've had mates who have taken theirs off as it effected ride position adversely, and there ya go!!!!! Frogz has experienced it too!!!

Be carefull what you put on if it's a roadie, as long days in the saddle can literally become a pain in the neck, and wrists too. A couple of my mates reckoned it took too much wind pressure off their shoulders causing wrist pain from loading up the wrists all day. The race guys want them as low as possible while still being able to tuck up under it! As Frogz suggested, one close as possible to standard would work best. WHat about a neat classy dark tinted one of the same shape????

P.S. I actually rode a mates 9 around the block yesterday, while sorting a fueling issue, and it had a double bubble tinted screen on it. I must say, it made me feel like I was riding a Mike Hailwood Replica 900SS!!!! I thought it was fecking ugly. (sorry to my 9 owning mate, but at least it goes good now  )

...as strika said, I loved the shape to look at on the bike (dub bub), feels "special" and I liked the look off too, just uncomfortable for its main use at the time. It is all about where the air stream hits your helmet/shoulders depending on your height and use.

Does the one with the wind lip do a good job of getting over your head. Wind that is :)

I never had one but it would have to depending on your height.
The trade off would be instability in cross winds and trucks (I guess)

NAH. standard anything sux 8)
at least paint the inside black or something
Seriously but if the wind doesnt annoy you now, next time you go out sit up a bit, does your helmet whistle of buffet? Couch so your helmet is a bit lower, ditto. Do you crouch and look through the screen? Does you helmet touch? etc. etc. if its OK now well go for a different colour if you want to be "individual" but remember, we ALL want to be individuals
If it annoys you at some point then go for the style that fixes it but understand that it will prob take away somewhere else
They cost, what $200? what can you do that DOES piss you off that costs whatever the screen would. Those twisty peg things from Frozzie look pretty good value and would do wonders on a 7

Im 6'2" and with the standard screen the wind hit me at the bottom of my helmet and a little bit on the throat when in cruising mode....

With the double blubble it hits me at the top of my visor when in comfy mode and at the top of my helmet in boy racer mode...
The world is round. It has no point.
