nakie GPX

Post by WRT_GPX »

well i started looking around at people who have street fightered or just rat biked their GPX250 and found this

its not bad at all considering how fucked my front fairing is, so if i can find a headlight that fits my bike. or even a decent universal kit (saw a 199 dollar twin headlight kit but i dont want to spend that much ideally... after all its just a 250).

ideas on how i could do this? note effort is free, big blinging parts arent ;) im planning on keeping it simple, and legal, so what i need from memory is to mount the indicators right, get mirrors on the bars and yeah, thats about it, the headlight is legal i think still... just hella ugly in stock form...

that's an acerbis triple halogen headlight, i had one on my xr250. Although i could only run 2 of them coz the XR didn't have enough power to run all three. It was about $180 i think, ordered it through my local shop.

Not impossible but you will have to cut(yes cut, not unscrew) that bracket that holds the mirrors and front fairing.

I have a similiar headlight set-up but it doesn't fit my ZZR250 because of that bracket. Now the ZZR is semi-naked, kinda ugly actually...

Yeah they're cool. You use them on road registerd trailies ie XR's, WR's etc so I guess they comply.

and yeah about that structure out the front of the frame that you said will mean it cant fit, if i dont have to cut it the better, so i might look at fabbing up an extended mount for it or somthing, just so if i HAVE TO i can put the original fairings back on, but just a question, doesnt that fairing support also hold the original gauge cluster?
