Weird things you do/used to do on a bike!

Post by Strika »

Well we have had bingles, near bingles, and embarassing moments, we'll have to get some tart from Home and Away or Neighbours to host this thread!!!!!

Hows about we share some weird arse things that you either do, or used to do on a motorbike!!!!!!!

Once again.......happy to kick orf!

When I returned to motorcycling in 1989/90 after four or five years break, I decided to actually go an get my licence  So went back to a 250. I bought two stuffed Z250B's and made one immacualte one out of it! I rode that bloody thing everywhere.

But, I did have a really weird habit, which continued once I got my TZR250, and unfortunately, for a few more bikes after that. Thankfully I can now say, that this behaviour is no longer possible, as I don't drink! And, please understand, that back then, being a little bit over was no biggie! Seriously, if you weren't plastered or a nearly dead, mostly they let you on your way! Ahem!!!

Anyhoo, I used to do this often, ......I'd go out on a pissy night with the boys, not do any good with the girlies, get home pissed at some ungodly hour-anything from 1-4am! and then, decide in my alcohol induced mindset, that it would be a good idea to pack up the gearsack, get into my dry rider gear, stow the tent and sleeping back, and just ride till I got tired enough to pitch the tent! Yeah yeah, I know, It's just wrong isn't it, but, we weren't that well educated about such things back then.

Often I would ride till almost asleep, then just pull over on any bit of grass, pitch the tent, roll out the sleeping bag, smoke a spliff and crash out. :D

I can recall, on more than one occasion, .....waking up.....having pitched my tent on ..........Someones front lawn  , A median strip  , 1 foot from a 30 foot drop off I didn't see the night before  , Oh, and once too fecked to pitch the tent, kipped out under the awning of the local CFA. Who very kindly woke me the next morning with a little burst of the siren

On my 250 I used to slap the rear fairing (below the pillion seat) and jump up and down like riding a horse to see If i could get it going any faster

Which was more of a stupid thing. however, I dont have any strange habbits on a bike, appart from not actually being able to ride :)

NOT a picture I would like to have in my mind thank you very much.
The thought of you waking up with "your tent pitched" is bad enough without involving public drunkeness and indecent exposure as well.
Next time warn us before posting such potentially lethal mind warfare eh?
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

When I was about 16 friends and self riding dirt bikes on the way to the riding area on bitumen roads out the back of no where. Get bored and start doing all the horse riding tricks type stuff, side saddle, crouching down off the side on one foot peg, standing on the seat and tank. Trying to freak out the passing cars and each other with more and more outrageous tricks.
I watch the stunt riders now and think, man we used to do that in the early eighties... not the wheelstand stuff but, we saved that for hte beach and as now I was shit house....
Seems REALLY crazy now...

Not me being stupid but a mate, Out one night got smashed and scored(almost). Anyway went to another mate places to get it on the crash out, but the girl saw the bike (2yrs old and mint condition) of wich belonged to someone else (there for service), and wants to sit on it. Doing the bloky thing he jumps on(like it's his) she jumps on the back, when they start to get giggy with it. All of a sudden there is an almighty crunch  bike fell against the wall before sliding onto the cement floor, he and the girl on the ground and the bike service was an aditional $3500(b4 the owner came back from interstate).
Did he get lucky? Na she wrecked her top, craked the shits and left him on the ground.
