Since you've narrowed it down to the TV or the new bike -> well, trust me: A new bike is awesome 8)

Otherwise -> go the holiday. Material goods are nice, but experiences are far better IMO.

Sure simple solution.

Complete the following sentance, it will be something you have said in the last week.

Fark i need a new ...........!

Unless of course you have just enough to get the couch, but need to chip in more for the TV.

Either spend the whole bonus, or add more to it?

* Buy a new lounge
Boring. Little long term satisfaction value. You've sat on one lounge you've sat on them all. Everyone who comes to your place gets the benefit
* Use it towards another (i.e. used) bike
Satisfaction Value points massive and you'll get a buzz every time you ride it. And it's all yours
* Buy a big-screen plasma tv
Very nice but they'll get cheaper eventually anyway (and LCD's are better). Like the Lounge everyones gets to use it
* Put it towards an overseas trip
Up there I think but long term benfits don't match the bike. You'll just end up with a bunch of photo's and some weird foreign disease
* Buy clothes and shoes, etc
Short term. Nice at the time but...... Unless you have tendencies like Imelda Marcos
What would you do??
Depending on the amount of money I'd probably upgrade the bike

or

Like someone suggested

Throw a big party for your Kawasaki pals and shout them beers and bourbons until they fall down :wink:

Pssst can you lend me $160 I've got a ride day to pay for next week

Hey I've worked out how to do that freaky mutliple quote bizzo. Impressive.....
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

If the bonus is enough, or you've got a bit aside to add to get into a new bike,....and there is actually a bike you really want......then Col, I would do that first!! As someone else has said, if there really is a bike you would love, and this makes it affordable, go and do it!! Every single time, you think about it, look at it, wash it, or ride it you are gunna feel awesome!

Otherwise, don't waste it on crap like Plasmas, or fancy lounges, (unless your is Donald Ducked :wink: ), or even Piss for the KSRC piss heads (they can aford their own, and what right has someone to spend anothers bike money on Piss!!!! :wink: ) Invest it! Wisely! Preferably in a good Bricks and Mortar investment! :D

I'm with gray_rm. I'd put it in 6 mths short term, then after that you have a bit more to spend and you'll have worked out what bike to put it towards.... :)

u dont earn that much tho...
i had a $10k short term... 7% or sumthin..it equated to abt $400 a year.... if that,....

if its say $2-3k we are talking abt, then its only gunna be half that, when u can make 20% in shares/stocks...

id go the bike upgrade personally..

$700, dude. 1% of 10G's is $100.

What kind of salesbloke did you say you were, again? ;)

Re: Cougs' original dilemma, I'm not commenting... I came home this afternoon to find my $2100 tax return in my bank account[1]. It was in my ING account 45 seconds later.

[1]I lodged a week ago exactly. Is this some kind of record?
