Smart move for anyone owning anything Japenese that is more than 5 years old!!! I try and buy bits for the racer whenever funds and availability match, and I will try and do the same thing with the 9 also.burkys_ninja wrote:

Yep Kawasaki are good with parts for old bikes. (sometimes at a price unfortunately) I can still get most parts for my Z440 from Kawasaki which is amazing considering what an unusual, rare and unloved model it is. The only part I haven't been able to get from Kawasaki has been a badge for the engine side cover of a friends early GT550.(same as my wreck) Suzuki however couldn't get me a front guard for a GN250, which is a far more popular model than a Z440, and still in production- you can buy them NEW in NZ at the moment! Wonder why parts aren't available for a new bike?!?!
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R
Yeah I like Kawasakis.

If you want farked on getting parts for an older bike - I needed rings for our Yam Ag100 - rings were in stock within two days, but they no longer supply a head gasket

There are plenty of aftermarket solutions, you dont have to buy these items from Kawasaki.jpbikeboy wrote:kawasaki are ripping us off!!! it's the big K getting greedy.

To be fair, though, a couple of months ago, there wouldn't really have been a Benelli to know about it. They wouldn't've yet restarted trading after being brought back from the dead by the Chinese...frl0173 wrote:I was a bike shop here in Penriff a couple months back and they had a Bennelli Tornado with a blown motor and the thing was 5 days out of warranty, Bennelli didn't even want to know about it,
Was the first one ( Honda ) fitted correctly?, I could understand that the original would be dearer so are Kawasaki parts.Rusty wrote:*Thinks about one VF500F with a $3 CBC replacement seal on the output shaft after the genuine ($24) Honda item failed after less than 5000 km*BladeBoy wrote:Yeah..but they are quality parts

Order from the US. Much cheaper, even with postage.
