My new non Kawasaki

Post by mike-s »

here's my new ride, its a 1996 RF900, I know its a bit butt ugly with the chequering, but experimenting with goo remover shows it comes off pretty easily and it'll be back to stock within a week :-D. Seems to go quite well and is a rather solid bike from the test rides i've had. The finning is "ok" in my eyes, not the prettiest thing, but not by any means the ugliest :D

Step number one is to get it registered tomorrow mornin, then its on for one and all, bring on the mudslinging!!!

the bike itself's alright, some people hate the ferarri'ish finning idea. im indifferent. The one thing i said i had an issue with was the chequering. im going to probbably remove them and take it back to the stock stickering.

and r.e. the stars, that was assumed.

Fcuk the neh sayers Mike!!! They are all just jealous, because they are not confident enough people in themselves, to be able to still ride around pruodly on an RF900!!!!!

Mate ditch the chequers, and it looks to be a neat bike. Did the guy realise those decals devalue it by a grand??????

BTW, you getting it registered with THAT front tyre??????? Never get through here in Vic with that one!!!!!!

Oh, and I noticed the shitty tread pattern on the rear.......you've been talking to that Poof Ponti havn't you!!!! You know he only thinks Shinko's are great because he doesn't have the ability to push "REAL" tyres to their limits!!!!!!

heh, well i figured the chequerwork was a reason i got it for 4.5 not the 5.5-6.5 everyone else was asking for their bike of similar age/kms.

and the front tyre is above the wear indicators, has about 1.5-2mm before it hits the wear indicators. The rear was well and truely rooted though. Either way i was going to replace the front next payday, and if the shinko turns out to be shithouse then its only been a $180 exercise :-)

anyway off i go, gotta go get the whale to her blueslip appointment.
