Just wondering if any Z750 owners have played around with the rear shock and damping force adjustment?
It says in the manual that the standard settings are for a 68kg. I am 83kg and I was wondering if anyone could help me find out what the best settings for me are?
Cheers

yep sure did.
i previously owned an 05 Z750.
all i played with was the rear preload.
I sort of felt like it was "bottoming out" or soft mid corner.
(not sure of the technical terms)
So i thought i would play around with the preload and see what happens.
All i did was increase the rear preload by 1 notch and i felt the bike definately handled better (for me) it tracked better and i no longer found it soft mid corner. (im about 90kgs)
there is better methods to set your preload (and the rest of the settings) but i was just playing around and it seemed to work for me.
I think the most important thing is to write down your original settings before changing anything and then keep notes as you go incase you need to go back.
Someone on here gave a link to a good site on suspension setup but I havent gotten around to trying it out yet. I will see if i can find the link.

Great . thanks for that. I had a lil play with it this morning as well. I notched up the rear shock from 4 (standard) up to 6 (max is 7). I also increased the damping force up 1 level. I took it for a little ride aound the block and it definetly felt more stiff and the bike didnt float over bumps.
Im going fo a ride up to the mountains next Sunday so I'll get more of a feed back from that.
