Double-light mod review and bulb question

Post by Green Ninja »

Stopped being lazy today, I had it sitting in my office for weeks and finally had the double-light module installed today. The lights are not perfectly even but I guess it is because of different lenses. Also I didn't have much time to mess with the brightness switch and it was daytime, I think if i play around with it a bit more at night it I can get them to look almost same. Other than that it is way better then having one light off all the time. Another thing is because it works the highbeam in 40%, the high beam indicator light in the dash also is on all the time (but looks a lil dimmed like its also at 40% and when I turn the actual high beams on it becomes bright purple). I would recommend this mod to anyone. Also Fulco at http://www.veiligmotorrijden.com/ is a great guy and honest, so i'd recommend him if you wanted to buy one of these modules.

I have one question though, my question is the guy who installed it recommended brighter H7 bulbs and told me it would look better. I like the brighter HID kind of look but I would be annoyed if they kept blowing or causing me other problems. Are those brighter light bulbs (e.g. phillips h7) any good and hassle free like the standard ones? Would you recommend me to change the bulbs?

Yes I have fitted them much better than stock bulbs, no problem so far.
