mirror with indicator ****updated**** beware!!!!

Post by hidepenny »

has anyone had any experience with indicators built into the mirrors?

i just bought a set of those off ebay and should receive it tmr, just thinking, it's better than the flush ones and i don't have to putup with the fixed indicators

*******update*******************

received the indicators last nite and had been so excited to see them arrive, however, they dont fit!!!!

first of all i didn't think of the following points before purchase, so just like to let everyone know here and hope they don't make the same mistakes like i did :( :( :( :(

it needs 3 holes thru the fairiing as the centre one is for the wires to go thru whilst all bikes have only 2 holes, so it requires drilling

size of mirror - in fact they are only half of the stock size, which i couldn't tell from the pic on ebay

the length of bolts, make sure they are long enough to go thru the fairing as the ones i received weren't

so now i have requested refund from the seller and the worst thing is i had the stock indicators professionally removed :( :(

Look nice, but how much will it increase the cost of a low speed drop?

hence why i decided against em....
also im the kinda clumsy guy who may bump the mirror trying to squeeze between things..dont wanna crack the indicator...and pulling the mirror & indicator off for track use is super easy now...and im too lazy to re-wire my bike...

Did you get them from ebay seller OZMOTOBAY.
I bought some universal fairing mirrors from them and when they arrived, they were smaller than the ones on my kids tricycle. Totaly unusable, although they looked quite big on the photos in the auction.
