7 year itch

Post by Steve_TLS »

I haven't been around much since I got my new job, don't have as much forum time as I used to.

I bought the TLS new in Jan '99 sold it August '06  It gave my 7.5 years of trouble free fun. I guess I'm now Steve TLess. But I still didn't buy a Cowasaki. Got a GSXR1000 K3. 2400km on the clock and I know the bike. Bought it off my ex

I took this pic the day I bought it home, left over from a session I did at Phillip Island in March '04, it hasn't done much work since.

Well let me be the first to say congrats. not about the Ex, but about the Gixxer!!! All I can say, is that if it is anything like an R1, then it's mental !! Hope you have a ball with it. :)

I think that headlight cover would be far from legal. I've not ridden it at night, but just pulling into the garage I get the idea that there is very little light coming out of it.

Even with high beam on it doesn't look real bright.

Not only would that lens cover throw out less light, but being red, will also look like a tail light to the brief glance most cage drivers manage. That could lead to some unfortunate happenings. Looks like a sweet ride though.

Steve_TLS is my nick everywhere, it can stay, now pronounced Steve_TLess.

We were divorced years ago, she's been trying to sell it since Feb and no one would buy it (don't know why?). It wore me down and got the better of me and I decided to grab it for myself :) When we split she kept her YZF1000R and I kept my TLS, all that bizzo was settled 5 years ago.

She's glad I've got it. 8) She gave me 1st refusal before she advertised it and had little digs at me about it since.

She got into bikes not long after we started going out together. Got her learners and a GPX250, kept that until she went unrestriced and got a CBR600, then nothing for a while, we shared my bike for a few years when we built a house, then the YZF100R, GSXR, now nothing for her.
