I'm with ya Phil. But it's only gonna get worse. Soon we'll be putting around at 60km/h dreaming of the old days. 20yrs ago there was no such thing as a speed trap or permanant camera, now they're bloody everywhere. Imagine another 20 yrs.

Gunna - don't want the bike to look tacky! :D
Cath - anytime. Was thinking of kicking it over this weekend, but it needs a good run :D

A quick update.

The news is NOT good.
Dave#3, Bladeboy and myself rode to the PITS Sunday arvo.
Few bike out and the Road Warrior was almost deserted.
But out with vengence were the cops.
We passed a Grey Unmarked Falcon not far before Deenos corner and he was setup South Bound on the divided section on our return.
On the north side of the Weigh Bridge turn off out of one of the left handers was a marked car at the end of the straight. Cheeky Bugger.
Good thing we were riding like it was a funeral procession.
Then at the Calga inter change we passed 3 bike cops.

They ain't mucking about.
If only they could spend the money being wasted on their presence to upgrade the surface instead.

$750 Grand to fix a black spot my arse.

totally agree phil, some of the "knee down" boys just aren't respecting the nasho, its sunny so they think "game on" and we are left to dodge the debris and pick up the peices.

its sad, i have always had cameras in my driving/ riding time so i dont know what it is like to be free on the road, but i think this is overkill.

people will just find new roads without police prescence and cause havoc there, it will always be an issue, i guess harm minimisation is the only key.

If you do happen to get busted and the nominated courthouse is Gosford it's probably worth defending yourself, get a lawyer though.

There are two magistrates there, one appeared to me to be an evil little prick with an interest in men and the other, while resembling John Howard, turned out to be the absolute king of dismissals.

For example a local youth had, while drunk, taken his sisters car without permisssion and rolled it,I thought that he was in very deep do-do and couldn't quite belive it when he got a $300 fine and three months disqualification but the best bit was that the disqualification was backdated to when he had the accident and so,as JH Magistrate pointed out,he was free to go and get his licence back at any time.

This was typical of the twenty or so cases that I watched, almost all were sectioned as dismissed with no conviction,I found it hard to believe at first and then I sat and watched with amusement and wonderment.

It's virtually impossible to get convicted in that court which is #4 at Gosford.

True but if you do get done there it's worth the lawyering of the charge depending on what the charge actually is.
