My Zed

Post by Benny »

So there i was, a budding new motorcyclist buying my first ever bike. I had taken my first ever finance out for this bike, i head to paramatta kawasaki. Confronted with a vast aray of glimmering new paint an polished metals, i had my mind set on buying a KLX 250, so the paper work starts. Im thinking, " all these road bikes, what kind of fun can riding on a road be?" .. I glance over at the Z1000 an im awe struck, it looks nothing like any other bike i had seen and i loved it. Being an L plater i decide "one day i will have a Zed, but not this day" ..

that night whilst i was transfering funds across to buy insurance after work the next day (biggest mistake ever), my KLX got stolen, an im left 12grand down with no bike. First thing i did was report it to the police instead of gettin my insurance policy, then reporting it stolen. So im a victim of my stupidity also.

So i buy a VTR 250, i had an absolute ball on this bike, i commuted everyday on it an rode it everyother day. I was inlove with naked bikes, and then the dreams started. The Z1000 made its mind up that i was going to buy it, or vice versa. So i save my pennies an learn some riding skills over the next year. A while later im looking on the net for a z1000, only to find a Z750 (didnt know they existed) and it was for sale in my area, cheap as chips!. So i go over there, immediatly awe struck again, take it for a ride. Astounded by the agility of this bike an the speed (stepping up from a 250 :P) i buy it on the spot. The rest is history, i still love the look of the Zed's an will be a fan of naked's forever.

Here are some pics of her :D

Got some Pazzo levers to install this afternoon. And i changed out my front signals for LED's. They are super bright at night, an passable in the daytime. But i live in sydney so noone looks out for bikes anyway :P
