Good thinking mate. Do some spade work while you're out there, you'll have plenty of time I reckon. Can't rush things out at Wallacia you know...and Terry likes a chat.

Make sure you're there for morning tea though. :)

well Im finished at Racetech, and I've been for a ride, and f*%k me, the bike is awesome to ride now. The biggest difference is it remains toally flat through the turns with no for diving or squatting and it soaks up the bumps mid corner. It is a much firmer ride, but somehow the bike does less bouncing around, it is incredible. The front end feels so much more planted in corners. At one stage I got carried away in the twisties outside wallacia, and looked at the speedo, well fmd. He put a special nut on the rear shock that reduces front end dive under brakes and stops the bike squatting, and it does just that, Its feels great under brakes.

Terry was tops, when he'd fitted al the parts he told me to go for a run, on the initial run it was harsh, he said he knows??. Then he takes it for a ride and tunes it, then gives it back to me and it was silky smooth. He gave me a run down on how to adjust it if I need to, but said it will be fine unless I take it to the track, at which time I would wind up the preload.

If you do head out there, take your sandwiches cause its in bumf%#f idaho, but definitely worth the trip. Heck, it was nowhere near as expensive as I was expecting, good value IMO.

what he said to do to the 12 is, gold valves, new springs front and rear, shock re-valve, collar??, rebound separation valves.

well, I took the bike for a 300+k ride today, and went past the acco scene on Putty Rd , it is hard to miss. I did however thoroughly enjoy the putty twisties on the new 12.
It was am suitably impressed with the bike, although I didn't thrash it and was just really cruising, it did handle very well and was quite comfy, however it doesn't have the ultra comfortable ZRX ergo's and a break every 100k's is definitley worthwhile, but I'll get used to it I guess. When I get some more cash together I will definitely grab the "move pegs" for a little more of a rearset position and I may use the ride height adjuster in the rear shock for a little more rear height once my hyperpro arrives from the states.
The stock dunlop 208's were ok and gave a pretty good account of themselves, but that 200 rear tyre needs to go as I think it definitely could steer a little quicker with a 190 on it.
The acceleration of this thing is phenominal, I really only took it up to 8 grand a couple of times (wear in and all) and it rips your F@%$ing arms off, and I was impressed how smooth the throttle is through the turns, its very progressive which must be that superb fuel injection.

So all is going well, Kawasaki built a good un' with this bike :D

Had a mate asked me once...
"How can you be faster, my bike is lighter and has more power"
The answer was my bike was heavier and had less power (obv really) so it didnt bounce everywhere and I could USE it.

BUT a 12 has the wieght, the length (for stability) AND the power

The BEST basically

Play TT on a 12 and 10 and see which is "easier"
Its the same in real life but the replay option hurts more....
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD
