well my mum was pillion with both my brother and me untill she literally couldnt get on any more was 7 months with my brother and 8 months with me.

i say, if you feel confident riding do it, i plan on riding untill
1 gear dont fit
2 cant comfortably reach the bars, if its a sports style bike.
3 the bump stops me from riding to my full ability.

but this is a decision which should be made by both of you, as it does involve both of you.

justin and me have spoken about it, and if i did fall he is hapy with me riding as long as i was comfortable and did so in a safe manner, and wore all my gear.

My misses rode up to about 4 months into her pregnancy, albeit she didn't realy know for the first 2 and then rode rarely for the next 2. She didn't show until about 5 or 6 months.
She sold the GPX 250 at that point and about 18 months later bought a zx6, she rode that for about 12 months and sold it when she got pregnant again.
Now she has a zx10r.....

Jeff and I have had this discussion as well, and I suppose I can't say for certain until I may be in the situation. At the moment my thoughts are that as long as you feel safe and confident in your riding, continue to ride as far into the pregnancy as you like. I also feel that the thought "you are putting two lives at risk" is a little uncaring...what, so my life when I am not pregnant isn't valuable? I know that isn't what is meant, but that is what I read into it.

One of the girls here at work has a GPX250, and the day she found out she was pregnant very early on in the pregnancy, she put the bike keys down and hasn't ridden since. She has had such severe morning sickness that even the thought of getting on the bike is too much! She wouldn't have minded keeping riding, but apparently her husband was very much opposed to it.
Cheers,
Anne

first grab the coathanger, then grab the keys and ride the winds of liberation.......

but in all seriousness, do it if you want to, as long as you want to... your choice, always. don't listen to some man telling you that you can't do it  -J.

Ben and I discussed this when I was pregnant. I was on riding pillion and didn't feel comfortable riding while pregnant. Personal choice but don't think gear would have fitted me for too long though. :D

Alicia and her fiance were recently involved in a spirited discussion regarding the suitability of women of a certain ante-natal disposition riding their motorised two-wheeled conveyance up to (but not including) the conclusion of said disposition.

And then she asked anyone had been in this afore-mentioned disposition and what their choice was in regard to transporting themselves and the in-utero other on the said conveyance.

Thanks Ratmik :)

I looked at the first post, decided it wasn't worth deciphering, and though if i waited long enough someone would translate it :)

ZZRChikky (is it Chikky or Chickky like your signature?), its not picking on you .. but making your posts readable at least wouldn't take that much effort
Open word, type what you want to say, run spellcheck copy it and paste, some misspelt words fair enough, but that post was almost unreadable
