Slow speed = Clutch and back brake, does the job.
I did mine about 10+ years ago on an XR250. That made life a lot easier,
let me tell yah. You can throw a trail bike around a lot easier than a
road bike.
As the others said, take it easy and don't be to cocky. It's not a race
and good riders can fail by dropping their bikes, whilst total hacks,
that can't ride pass. Remember these places are run by riders themselves
and are there to prepare you for the road. A lot of instructors did
their licences, when we were temporary Australian's. Given a license
with no training, sent out on the road to learn by yourself.

Oh yeh, when they pass you, don't do a wheelie. Apperently they can fail
you for that too.

i feel that i have got everything pretty much sussed, except the slow
figure eights that you have to complete apparently. so i guess ill just
