GOTTA LUV the 12R!!
So we all agree 12's are the shit but not on pipes eh?
Everyones gonna tell ya to get what they got
BUT I am gonna tell ya, dont get a Micron
Its a lovely full sys, makes heaps of power, price was right.
BUT the dirty fuggers there (WFO) LIED to me over and over and over.
They could have helped but they would rather deny the problem existed (but DID admit it in a round about way) and wash there hands once they got the money.
IF you are going to lie guys get a good memory and at least make the lies CONSISTENT eh? ahem ahem (calms down)
Its not the pipe, its getting the bugger to work everywhere..... Yoshi seemed to have a good match of ems and pipe by all accounts.
BUT in the end you are going to have to dyno it, so if you are going to sucumb to public opinion and change your pipe make sure you put enought aside for the PCIII, BMC airfilters and dyno as well eh?

Glad I didnt give you too much cheek, you're one big bugger Hoffy.
Didnt look that big on the 6
You make the 12 look as tiny as I make it look big mate !
So is it EVERYTHING you thought and more ????
(and yeah they just get better and better)

Thats a bit drastic so early in your relationship..
I know the front is bit soft and hasn't got much adjustment left but I would have thought you had a bit more in the rear...
Anyway, Terry will sort it....
What settings are the other guys on here running.???

Hmmm I guess we will all have to admit that the rebound damping on the front is screwed in as far as it will go
Other than that a (fair) few clicks of front preload to stop dive under brakes, damping to suit (would have to count them sorry).
Rear I actually set up for pillion and while this is a bit harsh on the road it treats the back tyres well at the track (Gallery has shots) so I put up with it being a bit harsh/stiff (I am a lazy bugger)
Forks dropped through triples 2-3cm (have to look in my book)
BUT unless you weigh the same, ride the same, tyres etc. it will only be ball park.
Wish it had a ride height adjuster....
oh AND A SLIPPER

I know, I still luv here but she's gotta do it for me, no excuses from the beginning. Its good how you can get get a fully sorted 12, for less money as a new 14 standard though. I know what I'd rather have.MadKaw wrote:Thats a bit drastic so early in your relationship..

From memory the preload only has 2 rings left showing and was still little soft with about 35 - 40mm of loaded sag. The std setting was 7 or 8 rings showing.frogzx12r wrote:Hmmm I guess we will all have to admit that the rebound damping on the front is screwed in as far as it will go![]()

The compression was 12 clicks out or something, which would normally be way to soft but the std setting is 18 clicks out. WTF is that about.??
So in other words its 6 clicks harder than std..
The rebound is about 5 clicks out and that is about 3 clicks harder than std.
The rear shock had about 10mm of preload wound onto it and was also a little soft but not as bad as the front. I think it measured about 35mm of loaded sag, so not too bad for a sports tourer..

Then basically we put 1 or 2 clicks harder on both compression and rebound..
These were just some base settings to get him going until the suspension had bedded. Only problem is it was only gunna get softer...
Hoffy ain't no 68kg, std suspension setting, size rider... he's probly closer to 2 of those....

GOTTA LUV the 12R!!
I got a feeling that after the suspender work it is going to be sublime.
The standard equipment really isn't up to the task, not even close in my case.
Yeah it is small under me but comfy, it weighs 15kg less than the zrx, but doesn't really feel it, I guess when your going you arn't really gonna feel it when your my size.
I cant believe i was considering a 10, it would look like........WRONG!!
I will take some pics tomoroow of them doing the suspenders at Terry's.
Do we have any club affiliation with him, I could use a discount !!
