Road toll...
Hi guys,
Interested in finding out, if you had to sum up in one word the reason(s) that so many accidents on our roads, what would you say?
Ok, you can use more than one word..
Cheers,
Pete

I can't beleive you said SPEED????? Maybe you should look for a job with the wankers in the Vic Government they just love the SPEEDING BULLSHIT line to raise more revenue, They should start fining the tossers who dawdle along 15km below the limit frustrating everone behind them.ZX9R King wrote:Speed, well it must be true, that's what the government keeps telling us.....![]()

What i was really after is ATTITUDE or rather the lack of it. Recently I was listening to a radio program, topic was: what do you do if someone wants to merge into your lane? well.....8 out of 10 was saying something like speed up, no bastard is going to get in front of me or don't let them in etc... On the F3 between New Castle and Sydney it's unbelivable how many drivers are snoozing in the overtaking lanes. Why????????
The left lane is not even a consideration, as if it was below them to use it. Why????
Gee, I feel better already...

Hence my point about poor roadcraft skills - many people on the road just don't think ahead, they react. I'm sure a number of those people would never have considered what they would do, until asked the questionkaneg wrote:What i was really after is ATTITUDE or rather the lack of it. As a comparison, go down towards wollengong, 9/10 drivers KNOW you stay in the left lane unless your overtaking someone. I've sometimes just stayed dead on the speed limit and watched cars come whizzing up behind in the left lane, merge right, overtake, merge back and away we go.
Generally it's only when you get north of Waterfall that things go to shit.
