Thanking coppers as they hand you a fine??

first time i ever got done i got let off.

happened to be the middle of summer, heading home from the beach, so i think that may of helped.

but when i did cop my fine

i was all nice, and yep i said thankyou and have a nice day to him.

and he wasnt even cute..

a policeman ooked my dad once and dad reffused to taek the ticket so the policeman slid it into the breast pocket of his shirt , so dad got off , cos the policeman inst suposed to touch u oh and thepolice man never had his hat on

My dad ,
got booked for speeding,
dad refussed to take the ticket ( for some un known reason )

so mr police officer ,
slid it in dads pocket of his shirt ,
and the pliceman arnt aloude to touch u and cant book u without there hat on ( or some crap ) so dad got off .

It is indeed. The copper said that he pinged me doing 114 and was only going to book me for 113...SFA difference thats going to make. 12km/h is 1 point and $100 fine, 13km/h - 20km/h is 3 points and $150, 20-30 is $250, 30-40 is 350 and 40+ is 700. I wasnt going to argue, had he got me 30 secs earlier (I was caught at the end of a 2.5km dead straight piece of road) it would have been the $350 fine...phew.

On our way up to Tannum Sands recently, friends on their FJR were booked for doing 119km/hr in a 100 zone. The police officer pinned them doing 134km/hr whilst overtaking him. He then followed them for a few kms sitting on 110m/ hr, and then zoomed up quick and close behind the bike to get the rego plate on camera and scared the shite out of Stuey. He didn't twist the throttle or anything and stayed at the same speed. After getting pulled over, Stuey was very courteous in his usual manner, in fact chatty, and his wife Christine goe a couple of photos

The copper booked them at 119 while mentioning he could have in fact booked them for 134.

For info, the QPS officer was driving an unmarked hotted up light blue Honda Accord. Apparently he drives the only one in Qld, and drives all over the state, basically tempting people, speedsters especially, into traffic infringements, and books them. "Book 'em, Danno!"

too numerous to list the tickets and i think they where lining me up for capsicum spray the last time....if you dont follow too close to anything its impossible to run up anythings arse.

once they have the book out its all over but hey i have come to realise they are only harassing weekend sportsbike riders because thrue the week it seems to be quite okay to ride a bike and havnt been pulled over for a chat about who i am and where i am going and what am i doing and can we do a check on your licence yet.

only been 3 weeks though.

i have been lucky getting off for big fines like pulling a burn out in front of some cops in the fully sick dunnydore

and getting fined for seatbelt or 1 point speeding tickets

so its worked out pretty fair for me

$210 and 3 points........117 clocked and did me for 115 to get the bigger fine and points
I thought 3kph was their tolerance ??

I didn't help myself though, when they pulled me and asked if I knew why they'd stopped me I answered " I don't suppose it's to sell me a raffle ticket for the police benevolent fund, is it?" Her face was priceless, 'sprobably why she only knocked 2k off instead of the usual 3

I'm always polite, even though they are doing their job, treat them they way i want them to treat me. It's got me out of a couple of nasty fines over the years, street racing (nearly a head on with the copper

) burnouts in the many dunnydores, reduced speeding fines in cars and on bikes, got my mate out of allowing persons to drive unregistered vehicle no owned by driver.

it's just common manners, but come the day a cop doesn't knock the fine down, well that may be another story
