question about speed camera in vic

recent WA speed camera issue brought up by mick_dundee, and now i have a question

how does the speed cameras in vic work??

rear or front shot???

can they catch motorbikes??

Seems they can, not that I have been cought B4 cause I don't speed :D

Depends on the camera...

There are both forward facing and back facing cameras over here...

MOST of them are forward facing (thank god)... But the road from Melb to Geelong has a bunch of them, some forward and some behind...

The bridge only has forward facing...

how can we tell what's forward facing what's backward facking???

if you see the shiny lens and flashy thing in front of you or in your mirrors when you set it off.

i heard that they are not using flash anymore,.............................

but what about a rear speed camera, can they catch u if u r going thru a turn ?? or it must be going straight in order to get the number plate?

Just get a flip up/down number plate, problem solvered

i've been trying dead hard to get my hands on one of those

i can't even find them now on ebay

wowow that's not cheap at all, is there any manual operated ones?

i've seen them before on ebay, but can't find them now, i think what it is a metal plate with springs and stuff

OK, its not cheap, but if you go thru radr traps and don't get caught 3 times, it has paid for itself....

But I did find this, not sure if it would fit ur bike tho'....

but i think the concept is simple i might even try my luck from bunnings this weekend ,just a hinch and 2 metal plates

what about those number plain ""covers"" the stripey ones, do they work or not , there only about 10 - 20 bucks
