Basically Colette you chuck your bike on a Dyno and see how much power and torque it pumps out.

Be good to see how the 10's compare. I'm sure Dave's got more grunt then mine, cause he's always out in front, or is that just because ......damn!! :)

look at this or this for how they do bikes and here for general dyno runs on cars, some of them are wanky, others quite cool to look at.
oops didnt realise this was a HUGE picture here's a dyno place

But yeah, its both a bit of a wankfest and a tuning aid, moreso the latter if they put in the air fuel ratio at each point via a oxygen sensor in the exhaust so they can tell where its running rich or running lean so you can hopefully improve the performance.

i'll hopefully be there....just to record (on my lil dictaphone thingy) the mighty GPX 775R super weapon.

wont be putting the 9 on the dyno....i wanna break a record for the longest OE clutch. 105K and counting..........

Come on Phil, surely you want to know how the old girl is holding up engine wise don't you..??
I'd like to know what HP a 105k zx9 puts out...
