04 636 air intake help help pls!!

hi does anyone know what will happen if water has gone from the front air inlet ???

anything to stop it to gointo the engine???

how much water are we talking about?

a little = not a worry, over 80ml = a worry, over 200ml, you go crazy with the hose?

i think the air fiter goes gorizontally across the airbox, i dont know if/where there is space for water to "catch" in the airbox to stop it being ingested by the injun

there's no machianism to stop water going in to the engine from the intake? :shock:

There's usually some little drain holes somewhere in the system that let a little bit of water out if the hose splashes it or you have a ride in the rain. They won't cope with the hose being bunged in the intake though, but the air filter might slow things down a bit if you haven't turned it over.
