60 bucks well spent

Post by Kawastu »

Well well well...just got back from a lovely day at DYNOVERKS in boronia. Today was a bike dyno shootout. Two groups, up to 636cc and then everyone else above.

Order went a little like this.

636cc +

06 ZX10 - 167.8bhp atw = Free PowerCommander
04 ZX12 - 165.2bhp atw = Free custom dyno tuning and map
04 ZX10 - 159.3bhp atw = Yoshi Pack (tee cap and keyring)
Then the rest were Gixer thou's and Fireblades.

636cc -
05 ZX636 - 112.8bhp atw = Free set of BT12's or BT14's
04 ZX636 - 110.2bhp atw = Free custom dyno tuning and map
04 CBR600 - 102.3bhp atw = Yoshi Pack (tee cap and keyring)

So on goes the 636 and the first run the rear jumped off the drum on decelaration and grinded between a moving drum and the ramp of the dyno. All that = mega flat spot! So they said they fucked up and put a brand new BT14 on the back for me. Not a bad day already...
Then the ninja pumps 108...110...110...and finally 112 on the last run. Enough to seal victory.

Now here's where the good bit starts.

I speak to the owner about maybe organsing a different prize as I just got given a brand new rear tyre. I ask for a PC3. He goes yep...no worries. Bring you bike in, we'll custom map it and tune it up with a PC3USB and you pay the difference which = about 200bucks.

So $60 bucks spent.
$200 dollar rear tyre free
PC3 Free
Tuning and custom map $200...

All in all, spend $260 got $800+ in return.
