Not surprised at that, hence the butt ugly stalky indicators.

Another thing is it's a technicality, depends on the place you go to for the pink/blue slip ;-)

thats right according to the road rules no motorbike can have indicators less than 30cm apart.

easy, fit ones on that are 30cm apart, get the roadworthy, register it and then take them off

They're ever so slightly bigger.

Due to the nature of these bigger bikes, they have a wider rear end

Has anyone actually been pulled for having little indicators or not far enough apart ?

Funnily enough the first model ZZR250 (1990) in Australia had the indicators built into the tailsection- bolt in fit for your bike- you might even find the indicators are already on your bike-just painted over!
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

Congratulations on desiding that you like the in bult indicators. however, you can't get a roadworthy with anybike that the indicators are less than 30 cm apart, not just 250's!

however, as said by someone else, paint stripper and taking the two painted covers off, you'll find that the indicators have just been painted over. just need to do some quick re-wiring and you are done (oh and get globes as well).

I was thinking along these lines and the 30cm rule stopped me..
I have been thinking of trying to paint them a red colour and wire in the brake light so that the brake lights use them..
what do you guys recon...?

a friend has that "jumbo rear brake light" thing on her gpx250, looks pretty nifty :D. I'd also check to make sure from the inside of the back that the plastic on the "blanks" is actually the transparent orange/red before going and getting the thinners out. If it isn't, im sure you can get the plastic from wreckers, via OEM, or as after market parts.

Neka's mum could have about 6 sets of indicators and not have to worry about complying to the ADR
