Actual prices on new bikes

Post by rtyuiop »

Howdy folks,

Anyone got any ideas on what a decent price on any of the new mid range kwakas is these days?

I'm half considering upgrading my GS500 to something a bit bigger now that hopefully I'm less likely to bin it than I was when I first got my license... Looking for something in damn near perfect condition so I thought I might check out new prices too.

In a couple of weeks I'll hit the dealers, but does anyone know how much things like the ER-6s, ZZR-6, and Z750 go for leaving the showroom? Any room to move under RRP?

Other bikes that might be interesting are a SV650, VFR, or ZX-9R (coz ya gotta love 'em!)...

Cheers,

Danny

You wouldn't happen to know how much the ER-6F goes for RG?

I'm not sure I could handle looking at the naked's incredibly ugly headlight all the time. Mind you I haven't seen one in the flesh yet!

the ER6 is an absolute dream to ride, but out of the kwaka's you have picked I'd definately take the z750.

If you find any new ZZR600s they will be at the latest a 2005 model.

Make them an offer, they don't make them any more. They were about $11,000 in Melbourne, but I haven't seen a new one for a while.

Oh, no new ZZR-600s left? Bugger, I thought they'd keep selling them until the bring out the old ZX-6R as the ZZR as per the states.

That would explain why I can't find any ads for them though!

Oh well. I'm thinking I'll probably try to find a 2002 or younger used bike anyway, losing the amount of cash you do rolling a new bike out of the dealer seems like a bit much just to let my butt go where no butt has gone before.

Cheers,

Depends on what they offer (or what I can get for it privately) on the trade in. Probably around $10k on road would be my upper limit at the mo...

I'll do the rounds of the Moss St dealers in a couple of weeks, but I think I'll wait a few months until I should be a bit more financial!
