There are many great roads around the west and here you can go for two weeks at a time not crossing the same one twice, or if you do it was because it was so damn good you had to ride it again. The police are spread pretty thin here in country WA so not much chance of have problems with the law. I could spout of a few names of roads but you will have never heard of them so there is no point. Come for a visit, I'll show you around. Great people, great scenery, fantastic roads, awesome food, bugger all police, what more could you ask for.
Going to look into the Tassie thing though, my dad is moving there at the end of May.

I lived there for 7 years and have also lived in NSW, S.A. VIC, and QLD and all of those outdo W.A. for bike riding roads sorry!!!! Best roads are in Tassie, but the weather is shit.
NSW has more roads but they are badly maintained.
Vic is close behind NSW for twisties, but in a smaller area, with better surfaces but more draconian police.
S.A. has some sensational roads, but you can cover the good ones in two days!
Qld is a lot like NSW, some good roads, but shit surfaces.
To live and ride, I reckon Vic still has it though. It has a lot more days when it is neither too cold nor too hot nor too wet to ride. As well as a good selection and variation of the best quality roads in Oz.
Still yet to get the ZX-14, it's supposed to handle better than the ZX12 and much better than the ZZR 1100, or 1200 for that matter. I'm 195cm tall and like to be able to still walk after I stop riding, which, although I would love one, I don't own a ZX-10 or 9 and why buy a 12 when I have a 14 comming
