Ditto to all Paul has said , the volly fire guys do a great job all over the country .fat460 wrote:Thanks for the updates and glad to hear all are on the mend. The collection idea is great and I think you should open it up to all KSRC members as I'd be happy to chip in to. Sounds like the guys do a great job and looked after our fellow members in a bad situation.
Paul.

The black first aid kit was my mate Stuey's who just happened to be driving home from Tamworth. It's a work one so he doesn't need it back.Gunna wrote:It's great to hear Ty is slowly getting there and the others are back home.
I picked up the helmets, boot's, jackets etc today and they are at my place. I also have three of the four number plates.
If you know who the people that provided the first aid kits and blankets were, i'd appreciate it so i can give them back and the to the people who were on the ride, I'd like to take up a collection and donate it to the Bulger Volunteer Bushfire Brigade who show up almost every weekend i'm informed, to clean up when a motorcyclist drops a bike on the Putty Road.
Gunna.
Collection for the bush firies is a great idea. The farmer guy who let me use his phone said the same thing about them being out every weekend.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

Hi Glen
Thanks for that info.
Please pass my thanks on to your friend for not only offering the first aid kit but for stopping to assist.
I will restock that kit and leave it on in the lock box of my bike, Just in case another biker is ever in that situation.
I guess now i have agreeance on the collection is how to gather some cash.
We'll resume our normal run to the PITS as of this sunday. If anyone wishes to contribute, I'll take your money over a few weekends and arrange a ride to Bulger and deliver it.
Regards
Gunna.

So most of you are members of other clubs like BA etc?
Why dont the clever people organise a ride, like the Lithgow ride, and get as many others bikers in as we can? Say something like a five ferry ride to finish at Windsor? At $5-$10 a head? I'd be in that. (as long as its not a block week, of course)
Any thoughts?

I'm sure some of you guys are wondering who this Gunna charachter is and whether it's a good idea to send money to him to donate to the volunteer fire brigade.Gunna wrote:Hi Guys
To those who would like to donate. Please PM me and i'll give you details of our bank and how to mark the payment.
Thankyou
Gunna
I can personally vouch for Gunna and guarantee any money sent to him as a donation will be pased on to the VBFB as promissed. Gunna and I were neighbours for years and have been friends for even more years.
If you're still not comfortable then feel free to PM me and I'll give you my bank details instead but rest Gunna is completely legit and trust-worthy, and was with us on the ride in question.
Over and out
