A Day at the Drags

Post by zedx »

Went to the test and tune at willo on saturday. Ran 10.46 on my zx9r. Does anyone know if this is about average or can i push a little bit more for a quicker time? My bike has been lowered 3 inches and is generally stock if that helps. What are the times that fellow zx9rers have run? Thanks. :D

I would have guessed low 10s or there abouts. I want to have a run soon. Should get a group together - would be a bit of fun.

strap the front down, then you'll get to go a bit harder without lifting the front

depends on what year your 9 is.
i ran 11.5 on mine, a 95 model.

so low 10s are pretty damn good.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Low 10's or high 9's if you're an absolute gun. Should be running about 133-136mph.....

i have a mate that had a 98 one and ran a 10.8. it was fully standard like mine, and he was confident that he could go quicker. well probably not much but not a perfect run anyway

10.47 at Benaraby first time out (like yourself)
05 ZX12R with PCIII, Micron full sytem and BMC's
No suspension mods

I only did a few runs and noted how the lowered bikes were launching.
Being slammed seems to be more important than engine mods so I was happy with the 10.47 and went home to order some dogbones

so yeah I reckon your 10.46 is pretty good but I know shit...
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

when tassie nats was on there was one of the brand new r6's out there and that ran a 10.4 when i was watching it. i recon it was a demmo as he had the numberplate taped up as well as the id plate on the frame at the front. very fast little 600 though
