Post by FoxyZX6R »

heya guys and gals

just wondering if any can help. im after some info and prices on putting a rack and bag on my 98 zx6r as the back and shoulders arent holding up too well after bringing a back pack, back from halls gap.

so far i have looked at a dririder tank bag but cant find info on the gearsacks /ventura racks& bags.

i had a gearsack rack and bag on the 250 but left them on the bike when i sold it.

any help would be great full thanks

gearsack are like rocking horse poo :)

ventura, RRP $360 rack and bag, or $220 without bag, but you need to supply tag out of bag or they will hit you with a surcharge :(

If you get a tank bag, make sure it is clean and your tank is clean or it will scratch your tank :(

Marranda

go the Ventura...the Gearsack frame looks like the kids at the local TAFE
built 'em
and the the bag/frame issue Tanya mentioned
I might be able to overcome that ..if you just want a frame
for the rear of the 6R

cheers
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

I had a Ventura rack for my old 6 ('99 model) around here somewhere. Although I have a funny feeling it may have been thrown out.

If you guys can supply her with a ventura rack, there are heaps of bags available that will fit on the ventura set up, and cheaper too :)

The disadvantage of them is that they won't zip together like the ventura ones do.

If you're looking for a seat bag, they do make specific bags, just be careful you don't go too big because they do tend to flop around.
