If you can imagine having both feet out as outriggers, the motor off and clutch out (this seems to work better than brakes, any suggestions why?) and STILL with absolutely NO control what so BLOODY ever, heading for a yawning precipice.... ahhhh the thrills of ice......

IF your first warning to turn back is you sliding down the road on your ars, it is too late to turn back.....

BUT ahhhh the adventure of it ......

I use to stick a thermometer on my bike, just to let me know when it gets under 2oC to just stop and head back  Nowadays I just look at the weather report and and on any doubts just cancel the trip.

Cold weather, cold asphalt, cold tyre + numb fingers, and running nose does not go well with me. Add rain and water into the equation and it's a recipe for disaster (unless you're on a BMW I've been told  )

Like someone said, have a go and if you feel uncomfortable just turn back. You'll still have a good ride either way :P

Well I guess I am actually INSANE!!!

I'm all suited up (the seams are nearly bursting on the leathers) and ready to roll out.

Plenty of warm clothes on, so it shouldn't be a problem for me.

Only concern is the warmth of the road! I intend on visiting every pub and cop shop on the way up the mountain to get updates on the conditions. I won't be trying anything too risky. Any sign of bad things and I'll be turning round and heading home.

Anyways it's going to be one hell of an adventure!!

See you all Sunday night with pics! (and GPS map)
