well, just got back from a good couple of days. could have been better tho.
i was riding the honda back after it ran out of petrol, we had spilled a bit on the tank cover so i had washed it off. i was going about 50 odd k's an hour, not "riding" if you knwo what i mean.....anyway the thing sort of spluttered a bit, i looked down at the tacho as the road went left, i just touched the front brake which made it run wide, braked a little harder on the front to pull up and the rear came around at about 15 k's an hour and the bugger fell over....fark all damage except for the clip on which snapped off..........in hindsight i shouldnt have worried about braking and just gone round the corner as i was going slow anyway.
the amcn X5 chase vehicle was following me when it happend and martin the photographer, saw the whole thing, at least i had someone to back up my story when i told them what happened. we loaded the bikeon the trailer and continued on with the show, one bike down. pity too, i hate to admit it but i was actually enjoying riding it before it ran out of petrol.
no one seemed to upset about the whole thing except me
partly due to the fact it was an 05 bike with the updated 06 body work as that is the only change.
i wont go into any detail about where what and how as the test wont be out for about 4 issues....the masterbike tests are in the upcomming issues to cover track work. let me just say tho that i enjoyed riding them all
wack the 05 body work and a new clip on on it and your away.
i took a couple of photos, none of the stacked bike, i'll down load them later and post a couple
and in regards to the "action photos in the 1000 comparo....its a no brainer that my photos wouldnt be used.......lime green leathers dont look good on anything other than a kawasaki..........and the photos from the second photo shoot - where i didnt ride it - were much better of all the bikes.
honda australia asked matt for a road riding photo to use in promotional stuff. he sent them the best photo - which was on me on the cbr - from the second photo shoot. they said it was perfect....except for the leathers

Just heard from Phil... It seems, as expected, he was having a ball.. That was until about 3 yesterday....
Let me say Phil has now redeamed himself as true Kawasaki fan..
It would appear that the Honda may have been going to upstage the ZX6R so Phil put a stop to that..... and fell over on it... at about 15 to 20kph...
Nothing serious but enuff to break the clip on and put it out of action...
He doesn't feel to good about it, but as it said to him, Its not your bike, its not even a mates bike.. It belongs to Honda..!!!

mick asks everyone what they think, but at the end of the day i am no where near as fast as they are, they ride everyday, on all different kinds of bikes.......
end of the day bench racing is all important as not everyone is as fast as them and feels different things...
