Stolen Number Plates

Post by ant »

My number plates were stolen from my bike which was parked on 4 Queens Wharf Rd, Brisbane City some time between 730pm - 730am.

Police report has been lodged.

What are the bet's on receiving a fine in the mail from the perpetrators.

Better the plates being knocked off than the bike at least ant, as far as bets go, it's odds on that fines will start rolling in and that's the least of your worries really, more likely is the possibility that these guys try rolling a bank or something and use your plates on a bike as a getwawy vehicle.

They've removed my existing whole number plate cover, slid it off, unclipped the bracket, then unbolted the number plate.

mick_dundee - with my luck lately, if i don't post tonight, i've been arrested for a bank robbery i didn't do.

Can you please explain to the non-technical people out there how the bike converts its power from DC to 240 AC whilst stationary and turned off.

Diagrams also please

Someone pinched mine while parked at Uni about 2 years ago. It was a pain in the arse running around organising a new one, but I reported it to the police straight away and they assured me that if anything did happen with it I would be right.

I didn't get any suprises in the mail so I guess they were right.

There you go. You've stumbled on the true magic that is the KSRC number plate frame :)

Using our exclusive patented electrical current switcher thingamy (I can't use it's proper name otherwise others will catch on) you can now take all of your 240 volt appliances with you on your bike. The ladies can simply plug their hair dryers in and hey presto no more helmet head. Hungry.?.. no problem at all. Take your sandwich maker along pull up on the side of the road and whip up a nice warm toasted sandwich....tow a fridge along in your trailer and you can also enjoy a nice cold beverage whenever you like.

Bet you want one now huh.........

do you get replacement plates with the same ID, or do they send you out new plates off the top of a pile? r.e. the mina plates, how much did it cost you to get new plates made?

Why did you leave your number plates infront of the casino ??

ram raiding number plates are very common !

Ant where your plates held on with just selftapping scews or were they
nuts and bolts ?

The reason I ask is I wonder if they just snatch and grab type of thing using a screw driver
or carry allen keys shifting spanner etc ? , which I doubt.

Maybe we are better off using caphead screws and nu-lock nuts for the plates

New plates off the top of the pile and you have to sign a stat. dec. saying you are no longer in posession of the old ones.
