"Just as it was looking so good for Chris Vermeulen and the Ten Kate Honda, a post race inspection revealed a discrepancy with the tilt-switch meant he was stripped of his race two second place.
The Ten Kate Honda rider was stripped of his second place when a random post-race FIM inspection of tilt-switches, a safety measure designed to cut the engine when the bike is on its side, found that Vermeulen's switch was not working.
The change means that James Toseland inherits second place, Garry McCoy third, Leon Haslam fourth and Foggy Petronas rider Troy Corser takes fifth."
