Anyway, the FZ1 was carted off by the towtruck to be assessed by Suncorp tomorrow. It isn't looking pretty, with all sorts of bits sheared off and Jeff won't be surprised if the frame has been twisted as well. Hopefully, they will write it off, and as we have had the bike less than two years, under our policy he will get a new bike.

Pontikat Injured
Just a quick post to let you all know that Pontikat (Brett) was injured in an accident today. He was riding my husband Jeff's FZ1. Brett was riding it late this afternoon around 5:30 after he and Jeff had been working on it, and they went for a quick spin around the block. Jeff didn't see what happened as he was on Brett's ZX9 about 100 meters behind. Apparently a car was changing lanes and clipped the front of the FZ1, Brett then tried to react to the situation by braking and swerving, the bike bucked and threw him off, and then slid down the road about 100 meters, throwing sparks all over the place. Brett was taken off to Ipswich Hospital by Ambulance, and has a broken Scapula (the large shoulderblade bone) a punctured lung and a rib broken in a couple of places. When we left the hospital about 8:15, he was waiting on an orthopedic consult. Angelkat (Brett's partner Janelle) will ring me tomorrow letting me know what the outcome is.
