Is this a dumb idea ?

Post by chameleon »

I want to put a sheepskin on the bike and I have this old car one... anyway, I was mucking around with it, sizing it up, and I suddenly thought :!: What if I laid it up across the tank as well. That way when I lay on the tank, as you do, I will have an added measure of comfort. Anyway, I thought I'd throw it up and see what everyone thinks. I only need it on the front of the seat as the rear is for gear but this way i wont have to cut it, just attach 6 odd fasteners to lock it down.

some pics..

Hrmm looks funny.
Not only that you would be covering up the petrol tank cap and breather part, that can't be good.

My vote just do the seat.

no I wasn't taking the piss out of ya's greeny. The cover is for a long ride (3200km) round trip, and there will be a gearsack and other crap on the back. This aint a beauty contest, it's a comfort contest. Think of it as a wooly tank bra if that helps

alright you fashion whores, I cut it down, happy now!
I didn't "nail" it on either as it's just for the long hauls and I want it to come off easily and do double duty as a pillow too.

I have sheepy seat cover and if it rains most of the water disapears and you are wearing wet gear anyway.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
