hmm, they rated the old one the best 1000cc bike for the last 2 years (some em prefered the gixxer but what would they know).. So I wouldn't say they didn't like the old one..
I've heard other tests have rated the 06 10r last in a 4 way comparison with the other 1000cc bikes. Bikes which haven't changed and the 04 / 05 10r bike beat them previously.
A pommy mag stated it wasn't as good as the previous model.?
Who knows... I'll have to just test it myself...
So who's gunna give me there keys.????

The onoly real winge they had on the newie was a lack of Bottom end!!!
From a litre bike???
Methinks maybe Kwaka have tamed the lower gear power delivery and it probably wouldn't be too difficult to dial it back in!!!
But they are very complimentary about the chassis!!!!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

They reckon an ER6 would have a 10 off the lights !!
they must have lost a *lot* off the bottom-end ?
Whole press release kit is riddled with references to lap times, race this, competition that, clearly a bike with *the track* in mind first and foremost......will be interesting to see how they go in competition this year.......sound like an *awseome* piece of kit really......

They are just geared too tall in first - they are tricky bastards to launch well.
I think I've got it right now, gotta take the revs to about 7-8K and do a fair bit of clutch slipping so she doesnt bog down, while also making sure not to get the power down too quick lest the thing stands up on ya..
I've ridden a lot of bikes and this is by far the hardest thing to try and get off the line quickly, the 1000RR blade was a lot less fussy thats for sure.
