Half the point of going fast is too have a peek at the Speedo if you ask me. Enjoy it while you can, I recently saw on the News that the Bloody Poms are have put a speed limiter on a car ...... It Wont be long once the insurnace companies start lobbying the bean counters.
Cheers Brett.

ive seen an indicated 290 on my '02 9r.
also seen 260 on the dial with a pillion.
my '98 9 managed 265 down the straight at eastern creek a few times - the rest of the time i'd fluff up my exit line out of turn 12 and only see 260.
mate of mine on a 600km old '04 zx10r read 303kmh on his display the other weekend...

i'll get a cam and use the vid mount i got to record top whack some day. :D

You'd have to say stock speedos are bit optimistic then wouldn't you..
I have my 9 geared down to reduce top speed by about 15 kph but it would pass a stock geared one on the E.C. straight (hey Dave) and top speed of a stocker is supposed to be about 275 - 280..
I'm just about at redline in 6 on the turn 1 entry...

Havent physically done the speed but when I bought my '00' 9R the chap who I bought it off put it on a dyno and did 281kms/hr, however this does not allow for wind resistance etc etc out on the road.

The peak horsepower came in at 121.

Had mine up to an indicated 225kph at EC with about 2000 rpm to go before redline in 6th.
I'm 2 teeth down on the rear though.
Needle was steady from memory

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.
