Insurance Time

Post by Glen »

It's that time. Time to put the insurance portfolio that exists in my garage out to tender again (well the ZX10 anyway).

I'm going to shotgun it this year and get quotes from every bastard to see how they compare. I'm currently with IC Frith (Old farts insurance) and I'll get quotes from Shannons and anyone else who's willing to take a shot at the big time. Don't know but I think I may have an inflated opinion of my value to these people as a valuable customer.

I'll post up here a comparo of how the quotes come in.

Happy happy me woohooooooo!!!!

Yep they're on the list as one of those who will be invited to tender for the portfolio.

They just put mine for the 10 up to a little over a grand for 12 months and I haven't made any claims :?

Problem is not many other companies insure a 10 for daily use

Yeah I'm expecting them not to make the finals. Last year they were $300 dearer then IC Frith (but they offer over 40's and occasional use).

Did you give Shannons a go?

After shopping around I went with WesternQBE ... I think I am paying about $730

Shannons laughed at me when I told them I ride it to work every day and pretty much hung up on me at that point..... They have recently changed their policies though...

QBE had an offer where they would beat any other insurer. not sure if it's still running.

I wouldn't bother $1890.... and thats over 40 with no accidents...

I paid about $600 - $700 with Shannons, that was under 40 no accidents.. at the time..

What you were quoted is irrelevant.

Glen is diff age to you, lives in a different suburb, has a different
bike & different riding history.

Different risk = different premium
