Well, I'm alive.. Might have a fractured bone in my shoulder, but the doc said he couldn't do anything for that anyway except give me more drugs.. Mmm.. Magic whistle...

Mainly muscle injuries. Bike has: bent rear brake lever, dinged up headlight, dinged up exhaust, scuffed front brake lever, scratches on ducktail. I think I got off lightly all things considered.
Don't forget to wear your gear! I went through the leathers at the knees, and still managed to draw blood on the bitumen.

As for me coming off, it was my fault entirely. I'd just gone past JimmyTheHuman and had a quick squirt going through Pakenham Upper. I'd slowed down a bit, and was looking behind me to see where he was. Turned back forwards again, and the corner was a little closer than I expected. Tipped it in hard, which would have been OK, but I hadn't scrubbed that far over on the new front tyre, and it started to slip. Even that would have been OK, but then I hit the gravel still on the side of the road after the re-surfacing, and it was all over (and over and over and over

I've had a closer look at the gear this morning. The Alpinestars textile jacket didn't actually tear on the shoulder where I lost skin, so I dunno what happened there. The helmet is still farked, I went through the carbon fibre knuckles on the gloves as well. The boots have a small chunk taken out of the toe.
Thanks to FoxyZX6R for taking the call to come and get me and the bike at 730am.
