We saw it at the GP last year. Firstly at the San Remo pub, then at the track.

They were riding it around, so I guess it was roadworthy (and registered) then...

you'd have to have a remotely (electric) adjustable pre-load, or a shitload of patience as you jack the front end up/down according to how many pillions you have, and where they sit.

Man that is awesome. I wouldn't worry about upsetting the suspension of a Z1300- they turn pretty slowly anyway. Stuff getting a sidecar- that is the way to go. Wonder how you would go with roadworthy- betcha it isn't legal in Qld- rego goes by seating and afaik, seating only comes with the option of one or two seats. (maybe sidecars or trikes are three?) It would double your rego doing so. :(

  unfortunately not mate  its a bloody weapon though, can you imagine pulling the chicks on *that*

I promised not to tell any stories about RedRoo, but this opportunity is too good to miss........

waaaay back in about 1982 or 1983 or somwhere in the hooch-addled 80's, I was visiting the boys in Brisbane (Redcliffe, Woody Pt to be exact...) anyway, old mate RooBoy had a Z1300 at that stage (amongst a zillion other kwakka's)..........I followed/chased him around Woody Pt, Kippa-Ring, etc, all over the shop, me on my trusty Z1000H , and his cousin in tow on a GSX1100, and I have never seen a Z1300 drag *so* much crap around corners....he was bouncing from 1 footpeg to the other, sparks flying like Hells Kitchen, it was unreal to watch - I was only 20 or 21, and man, I thought those old 6-cylinder dungers were big fat and s-l-o-w......not quite. It was a display like no other.

Z1300's *do* go around corners, but it helps if you are *clinically insane*

I had a loan of a Z13 for a few days about 10 years ago when my local dealer was working on my GPZ900....nicest motor, but it was a scary barge- accelerated around a corner a bit too hard - that corner had a giveway sign right on the corner, and it felt like the rising of the rear end was going to elevate my helmet so much so as to get my head chopped off by the giveway sign pole.....
Would be one of the best bikes to tour Oz on tho! :)

The WA Z Owners have a mortgage on these things, and there are a couple of QLD Z guys who also ride them - fully kitted tourers with trailers, BBQ's, jacuzzis you name it

At the Alice Springs Boat Races / Derby ( whatever its called), a couple of years ago there was a Rally with a *few* of the Z guys there.....well, one of the boys hooked up *every* bike trailer they could find, and towed them behind 1 Z1300 as part of the 'Derby' into Alice Springs......It was the Big K Road Train.....I think it had 8 or 9 bike trailers hitched up *somehow*......

Will try and dig up a photo to post up, its an awseome sight.....
