Hey varden you can probably just flash the modem/upgrade the firmware to adsl2.

I bought a new dlink router about a mont ago and it had the original 2 yearold firmware on it so i flashed it up to latest spec and it will now do adsl2 when it becomes available and my wireless network is tones better than it was.
just make sure you read the how to a coupe of times i had to factory reset mine then assign a static ip and it was ready to upgrade. :D

I pay for speed within reason and take a plan based on it is cheaper than the rest and also faster, the first time i changed was for a bigger download limit when telstra had the 3 gig ripp off and went to 8 gig peak and 12 off i think then went to dodo unlimited the first unlimited adsl package anyways if there was adsl 2 available i would be using it.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
