I do my oil ever 3000km and filter every 6oookm. Was talking to the local Big K Dealer and they recomend going to 15W40 synthetic oil instead of the 10W40....last s a bit longer and doesn't get as "dirty as quick".

Shouldn't u change the filter with each oil change???

well, its a good idea when the engine is *new*, but once you have 20k +, and a couple of years under the belt, then every 2nd oil change is fine....(road use only here), any competition use , or dirt bike stuff, it should be oil + filter at *every* change......

Slipper slutch may contribute to somewhat to this, as basically when it operates, it operates in reverse so slipage occurs between the plates, which may deposit slightly more sediment into the oil.

However if your oil is dirty after 1000klms you may have ring blow by!!!
