A mate of mine just did $70 000 on an inner city property deal, I had warned him to keep away from real estate at the moment but he was chasing the 12% return.

The greater the interest, the greater the risk you take.
Shame the young dude bought it though.

Every morning I see a young guy on a GSXR who rides very fast (including doing 70km/h wheelies through a 40km/h school zone), but seems to have even less skill than I do (eg, he'll ride along oblivious to the fact he's left his indicator on, he fumbles his gear changes, etc)

A few days ago this guy was doing wheelies from every red light along Footscray Rd. On one of 'em, he managed to get the bike into a lean while it was on one wheel, and when the front came down there was a moment where it looked like the bike was going to dump him off sideways, but he managed to recover it. Next set of lights however, more wheelies, no sign of realisation of how he'd nearly kissed asphalt.

Maybe he'll be the next statistic...

Makes you wonder how much of the road toll is actually taken up by "decent" riders....

As in, people who commute every day, and only do something stupid every now and then...

compared to people who do something stupid every 3 seconds...

How do you wheelie properly ? Let's say 100 meters ?

I am able to get about 5 seconds at most but then seems to lose the power to keep the wheels up. Maybe need a bit higher on initial "pull" ? Need a bigger motor maybe ?

Do you also find it harder to wheelie with a full tank of fuel ?
