still got sidestand, but as soon as i figure out how to get it on the race stand single handed its gone!!

some excellent tips there on weight loss, but the 2 biggies are : Exhaust system and wheels. These areas are where you can make some big *gains* in weight loss.

also, consider replacing rear steel sprocket with aluminium, and also steel fuel tank with a dummy plastic tank under a 'glass or c/f tank 'replica' - you will save some weight there :shock:

The last 5 kg are the hardest and most expensive to lose....and it becomes a problem of 'diminishing returns' at a certain point........

also could try replacing engine covers with magnesium replicas ( if available for your model...)

it sure would get expensive if you got carried away, i'm just looking to shed as many bits from the bike that a track bike doesn't really need, sidestand being a good example.

Will keep magnito and starter...me lazy.

:lol: me too, when I went racing I kept the starter motor fitted. Sticks it right up them on the dummy grid :shock: :wink:
