Rolled off the throttle on a u turn.........Dropped it
Never thought of that? I'll try a few and see how it feels. Actually, I think I'll 20, or 50, until I feel like their too easy to bother with as I don't feel too comfortable doing U-turns either.mick_dundee wrote:And second gear I reckon works best. Not as jerky as first so makes for a smoother u turn...

I really really hate u-turns, so much so I will go right out of my way and go right around a block, rather than do one. I am sick of dreading them, so on Saturday I am doing a riders technique course with Morgan & Wacker to really try and get the u-turns down pat.
Cheers,
Anne

Stupid farken place.
FYI tho, I got a new after market brake lever for $30 from a wrecker down here. I'll worry about the fairing another day.

Your definitely not alone having dropped ur bike like that! I think most of us experience a brain cramp at one time or another and drop a bike in a car park. I feel its a confidence thing and I'm still not comfortable with it. I'd like to practice more, but there can be some expensive lessons there, especially on newer bikes.
Tight right hand turns can be harder on some sportsbikes as well coz ur hand can get wedged between the throttle and tank which makes throttle control a little harder.
