newbie ZZR250 owner - advice please

Throttle control aint the issue.. I keep steady throttle thru. turns , actually im probably accel. thru most turns.. My concern is that iI often trail my front brake thru. corners and if I hit a bump it bottoms out real easy and I can see bad things happening..
I think I will look at the fork oil upgrade and increase preload.

excellent advice, if you are bottoming out through corners as you say, then fork oil needs replacing, maybe also a *tad* more in each leg might'nt hurt either......
20c pieces are great pre-loaders - I used to run $1.40 worth of pre-load in each fork of the Zed a few years ago ( until Progressive Springs were fitted...)

Hers a link to the gpx manual in pdf format. Just scroll down to the kwaka post. Pretty sure theyre the same set up, but not 100% someone else maybe be able to confirm.
Its the complete manual so its a fair size 28meg.
If the link doesnt work just PM me or something and I can send you a copy on cd or something.
As for milage Id be stoked with 400 on the GPX too.
Not sure but I always fill up aroud the 200 mark or there abouts and theres still a bit left in there. Never been game enough to push it to be honest. Think I could maybe get to around 300 but def not 400 and I weight 65kg and ride like Ive got Miss Daisy on the back.

Mine lasts 280km/tank, but I rev it a lot. Just hit reserve a couple of times and you will know when to fill up

I get at least 400km before hitting reserve on my zzr (2004 with 22000km), but I mostly ride on highways & fast roads. I found reserve good for ~40km. My best is just over 475km before reserve sitting just over 80km/h for most of the trip.
There is a ZZR supplement that has been uploaded to the forum but Dan hasn't yet moved it from the ftp folder to the folder listed in the "engines" section.
