That is actually correct. Being a former dutch colony alot of the governance is inherited from the dutch.Stereo wrote:Uhm.... Did you make that up?cambo: version 2 wrote: indonesia uses the dutch judicial system unlike our adversarial system....

I have the pleasure of appearing in court for traffic violation sometimes ago (not wearing the "standard" helmetmike-s wrote:Nope, its true. the Dutch system is called the "inquisitional" type of system, and Indonesia is one of the many country's to follow that form of legal process.Stereo wrote:Uhm.... To compare the difference, say you were guilty of having 50gm's of pot on you, and thought, "right, cop it on the chin, admit your guilty to hopefully get a lighter sentence". Here you'd cop a plea, say get a 18 month suspended sentence or whatever the judge deems nessecary, its over, case adjourned.
In the dutch system, they would take that into account, continue to follow due process, consider all possibilities and follow the process until guilt is proven, and then a conviction is assigned. But if you were innocent of the crime you MUST NAME the person who is guilty of it. If your innocent, and cannot name the person, tough shit, your stuck with the sentence.
Much more of a "spanish inquisition" of a legal system than i'd ever like to be on the pointy end of.

What more do you want?? Anyone else see the footage of when they handed down her sentence?? She smacked herself in the head, she was probably thinking " doh busted "
I personally think she is guilty but I dont think that making statements like that is really fair unless you KNOW for real.
P.S. I dont know her or anyone affiliated with her, I just like to deal in fact rather than what the media has fed me
Hello 911? ahh its Quagmeyer - yeah its in the window this time.

hey java man was that in bali you got done for no helmet, i was over there 18 months ago and a copper tried that on me well there was scootas with 4 people on them with no helmets and i was actually riding through the independance day celebration at slow walking speed without one and was sure all the coppers wanted was a 100000 rupiah note to share....and i hate coppers with a passion.
anyway they threatened with all sorts of fines and jailstays but at the time my bank balance was a couple of didgits longer than my abn number so it didnt worry me too much and buggered if i am going to pay off the local coppers comes under the same heading as do not feed the monkeys.
who knows if schapelle is inocent or not at the time i would have said who would be stupid enough to take dope to asia when they are selling it in the streets over there cheaper than here....but after a while the plot thickens somewhat.

Has anyone else seen the photo of Schappelle with her mates in Adelaide? I believe, sitting in a loungeroom with a big bag of dacca on the table ?? Taken a couple of years before this schmozzle.....
Miss ZZR has hit the nail on the head. One of my friends is a psych nurse, and when we saw the first footage of Corby being arrested, etc, she commented then, that the brother looked and sounded as guilty as buggery, and it was her belief then, and now, that little bro had stitched up his 1/2 sister.......
I mean, would you seriously jam 4kg of dacca into a boogie board and fly to Bali ??? it beggars belief that she knew it was there......
its all speculation, rumour, malicious gossip and innuendo.....we will never *really* know the truth..........
but one thing is for sure.......when the Bali 9 are all executed, that will really have an effect on skippies smuggling gear..... of any sort...

Is she guilty?, I think so, what I think matter? no, to answer the poll, no, just another holiday spot, plenty more of them around the world.
Ask yourself this question, why with the millions of people that go there would they single her out? Answer smoke= fire. someone in her family is guilty someone in her family got done, her.

Duane knows, he sent the last shipment over there
As for Ms Corby, I can't seriously believe that you can pick up a bag that is all of a sudden 4KG heavier than the last time you picked it up and NOT notice the difference, seriously, it's a boogie board, which weighs approximately 2/10ths of fuck all and you add 4KG to that and DON'T notice it? Get the fuck outta here!@!!!
